Heroes: Ayrin, Haurchefant, Ulfgeir
Satine Aerasumè has gone missing, and Ayrin has been
blamed for it. The Heroes make contact with Satine's maid,
and discover that, weeks before her disappearance, she had
been spending a lot of time at the Temple of the Silver
Stars. The Heroes speak with the headmistress of the temple, and
learn that the goddess Selune had big plans for Satine,
whom she called the Lost Star. Satine travelled to a hidden
temple high in the mountains to the east of Silverymoon, to find Ayrin, and to learn
more about her destiny.
Set on following this lead, the Heroes are crossing the
Moonbridge to leave Silverymoon, when they're arrested by
guards of the Aerasumè family and brought to the presence
of Lord Gilgamesh himself. The Lord accuses Ayrin of having kidnapped his daughter, and challenges him to a duel. Ayrin wins the difficult duel but spares the Lord's life as a gesture of good-will. Gilgamesh sends him away from his property, still harbouring resentment.
The Heroes travel to the mountain temple, more like an cave half-occupied by cascading waters. Inside they battle a behir that was using the cave as a lair, and several aberrant creatures known as nothics; the creatures are clearly not native of Faerun, but the mystery of their presence is soon discovered. A magical portal emanating moonlight shines on the side of the cave. Without hesitation, the Heroes enter the portal.
