Session 10

Heroes: Vola, Sevir, Ayrin, Gondriel

With Shazogrox dead,  the Ravager is out of control. Massive waves of arcane power dance both outside and inside of the stone globe. Out in the void, a fleet of beholder ships approaches the hulk.

Gondriel manages to return to the Skyrunner, and Ayrin pilots the ship away from the Ravager. When they spot the beholder fleet, they decide to fly away as fast as they can. The beholders, eager to discover the secrets of the Ravager, ignore the Heroes and approach the unstable weapon of mass destruction. Their curiosity is rewarded with annihilation, as the Ravager finally explodes in a super-nova of arcane energy.

The Skyrunner is in dreadful conditions. The hull is full of holes, and the crew, after having been washed in an anti-magic field while inside the Ravager, has revertd back to its original form: common beasts polymorphed by Tobart/Shazogrox! The Heroes drift in the void for several days, their air supply slowly expiring.

But they're not alone in the void. A black galleon (the Curse of Strahd) approaches and hails the Heroes, carefully inviting them to come on board to tell their story. The Heroes do as asked, and eventually a deal is struck between the Skyrunner and the officers of the Curse of Strahd. They will accompany the Skyrunner to the Rock of Bral, an outpost popular among space-farers in the crystal sphere, in exchange of a consideral sum of gold. Gold that the Heroes will have to earn by enlisting in the service of Prince Andru of Bral. Captain Anomander assigns two of his crewman (Vola and Sevir) to the Skyrunner, and tows the crippled vessel to the Rock.

Upon arrival, the Heroes begin exploring the city, marvelling at the variety of races walking the cobbled streets of the Rock. A new world full of danger and opportunities opens up in front of their eyes.
