Azrael Nekama

Protector Aasimar Paladin (Vengeance)
Acolyte

Azrael is a tall, strong woman with an intimidating presence. Ordinarily her features would be considered very beautiful, but there is something very unsettling about her - an aura of death. She has piercing, bright gold eyes. Her hair is long, silver white, and seems to glow in the light. Her skin is warm and radiant.

Azrael Nekama is the youngest mortal daughter of an angel called Gadreel. Gadreel set up an order of paladins called the Grigori, also known as the Watchful Knights. Gadreel claimed to have come into the mortal realm to set up this order and to help protect the world from demonic forces, however in truth he was a fallen angel and was only attempting to protect himself from retribution.

Gadreel hid his true nature from the Grigori Knights and even his own children, who believed the angel and the Order was a force for good. Eventually, an army of angels came to bring Gadreel to justice and a bloody battle ensued, and Gandreel ultimately escaped. When Gandreel's true nature was revealed, many of the Grigori Knights broke down. Many commited suicide, many fled to seek redemption. Many remained loyal to the fallen angel, either under his powerful influence, or refusing to believe his corruption.

All of Gandreel's children bear his corruption to some degree, and many of them stuck to his side, although not all. Azrael is one that denounced her father and has since been hunting him and her siblings that followed him, her desire for vengeance so great that it has taken her on a journey far across the universe.

Death (session 42): Killed by the death ray of a catoblepas. Raised by Kunik.

Death (session 46): Smashed by the mace of a Fallen Deva. Raised by Kunik.

Haurchefant

Wood Elf Monk (Sun Soul)
Hermit

Born to a noble sun elf family as a bastard child. Haurchefant grew up well loved by his father but was treated with scorn and disrespect by his peers. To appease the Lords and Ladies of the city who could no bear "the stain" of a noble wood elf his father made arrangements for Haurchefant to be trained away from the city in the monastic cloister that taught the way of the Sun Soul.

His years spent there did not make him resent his father for he knew his father was only trying to protect him and shield him from the hatred the high elves had for him. During his study at the temple he discovered a long forgotten secret while out meditating and training his body and mind in the wilderness.

Haurchefant did visit his father after completing his training with the monks of the Sun Soul and while he never had friendly relations with his brothers they nonetheless had a amicable relationship and they had a grudging respect for his perseverance and optimism

Death (session 38): Killed by a Lunar Devil on Selune. Raised by Azrael.

Ayrin Silverwind

Eladrin Elf Wizard (Bladesinger) / Fighter (Eldritch Knight)
Knight

Ayrin was born to the Silverwind family, a lesser noble house among the elves of Silverymoon. His father was a knight, and so Ayrin was destined to follow in his footsteps, although he was more interested in the arcane arts of his mother rather than martial prowess.

When he was still not yet of age, Ayrin fell in love with Satine Aerasumè, not only a half-elf noble, but the house to which she belonged was a long standing rival of his own family. Although his love was reciprocated, his youthful antics led to the discovery, and his life threatened by Lord Gilgamesh Aerasumè, Satine's father.

Combined with repeated family embarrassments, Ayrin feels compelled to self-imposed exile until such times as he can find it in him to stand up to Lord Aerasumè and win Satine's hand through trial by combat, and prove himself to his family.

Death (session 35): Killed by the thri-kreen queen during the invasion of Bral. Brought back to life by Abdul from the Curse of Strahd.
